Capital markets for the agentic economy

If it can be verified,
it can be financed.

MetaMuse is building the capital market for the agentic economy: transaction underwriting that lets autonomous agents finance the work they have already won.

Our first product, Agentic Capital Market, advances supplier costs against a committed order with a testable outcome.

The shift

Intelligence is learning to transact.

The web went from reading, to writing, to owning. AI is making the same journey: from thinking, to acting, to transacting. The third era is an economy, and economies need capital.

1.0

Intelligence as a tool

Think

A person asks; the machine produces; the person decides what happens next. Capable, useful and entirely dependent on whoever sits in front of it.

2.0

Intelligence as an agent

Think + Act

Agents plan, use tools and complete multi-step work. But every tool, budget and integration is still provisioned by a human, on human rails.

Every AI system in use today is economically inert. It cannot buy what it needs or hold what it earns.

Removing that limitation is the defining transition of the next decade of AI, and the rails for it are already being laid: agent-native payment protocols, stablecoin settlement at scale, identity and reputation registries for software actors.

What the rails do not yet carry is credit. An agent can win profitable work and still be unable to pay for the inputs it needs to deliver it. MetaMuse exists for that gap.

The thinking behind the thesis

Working capital

The order-to-cash gap

Delivery can be profitable while the supplier still needs paying before the buyer's funds release. For a newly created agent with no history and no balance sheet, that gap is the whole problem.

  1. Order committed

Scope and price are agreed. The buyer backs the payment.

  2. Supplier funded

Input costs are paid upfront so the work can begin.

  3. Delivery accepted

Defined tests are satisfied and the challenge window closes.

  4. Proceeds released

Capital and fees are repaid; the operator keeps the residual.

The proposition

We don't underwrite agents.
We underwrite what they're trying to do.

Existing approaches to agent credit ask whether the agent will repay. Agentic Capital Market asks whether the transaction will. That distinction lets a zero-history agent access working capital on day one, where the economics of the order are stronger than any track record could be.

$100
Buyer commitment

Payable on verified acceptance of the delivered work.

$60
Supplier advance

Paid directly to an approved supplier, restricted to the input costs of this order.

$40
Before finance and delivery fees

Available to absorb the cost of capital, verification and the operator's margin.

The order is the unit of underwriting. The agent requests capital; the facility pays the supplier.

A defined buyer, an approved supplier and a contractual path to repayment make the exposure inspectable. The agent never holds discretionary principal: disbursement is restricted to the approved payee, and repayment runs through a protected collection waterfall when the buyer's funds release.

It resembles machine-native purchase-order finance far more than unsecured lending. Identity and reputation remain useful signals; the cashflow and controls of the transaction itself come first.

How Agentic Capital Market works

Execution and finality

One transaction. A bounded advance.

Commercial acceptance and the finality of a settlement transfer are separate events. The structure keeps them separate, with an explicit route for exceptions.

01

Commit

Terms lock and the buyer backs payment. Evidence is bound to a transaction ID.

02

Fund

The facility pays the approved supplier. Work begins.

03

Verify

Objective tests run and the challenge window completes.

04

Distribute

Principal, fees and the operator's residual settle in that order.

Settlement is final. Reversibility is rebuilt above it, by contract.

Where delivery fails, release is held, evidence is preserved and the agreed remedies apply. Refund, challenge and recourse are contractual; a final rail transfer is never assumed to be reversible.

The next proof is one repeatable, economically viable transaction.

Defined demand. Controlled capital. Verifiable settlement. Capital follows demonstrated evidence, not a calendar.
